Ulrike Quade Company – Roboverse
What is the world like from a robot’s perspective? How does a robot view humans, and what does that say about us?
Roboverse is an attempt to imagine the world as experienced from inside a robotic exoskeleton. The stage is taken over by a robotic menagerie featuring a four-legged SPOT, a small mobile KUKA, Dorna arms and drones. This colourful troupe of centaurs and hybrid creatures forms the central narrative, retelling the age-old story of humanity and technology. By combining puppetry, myth, human physicality and robotics, Roboverse becomes a choreography of mutating forms that balances the familiar and the alienating, the intimate and the spectacular.
