Welcome to the depths of an old hotel, where the ground floor reeks and loud prayers are heard at night. Four guests find themselves lost in a world of conspiracy theories and end-of-the-world scenarios.

At the start of the new millennium – long before conspiracy theorists went mainstream or ‘gender’ became, shall we say, a thing – Abattoir Fermé created Galapagos, a piece of ‘existential horror theatre’ that took the Flemish theatre scene by storm. Almost 25 years later, Abattoir Fermé is reviving this powerful classic, which tackles themes that have only become more pressing since then.
Galapagos takes you to ‘the world behind the world’: a hidden realm inspired by dissident scientists, conspiracy theories, counterculture artists, apocalyptic scenarios and the dark corners of the internet. Relatable, unsettling, moving, hilarious and unforgettably performed by two top-class actors.
