Light Parade

Following the success of the first edition, the Light Parade is returning to Almere Poort. On Sunday 20 December 2026, the neighbourhood will come together to parade through the area with homemade light sculptures and lanterns during a festive evening for young and old alike.

The Light Parade is organised by De Rode Haring, the sister organisation of Vis à Vis. Residents of Almere Poort come together to celebrate the return of light during the dark winter months. Everyone is welcome to join in: as a creator, participant or spectator.

Ahead of the parade, there will once again be a range of workshops and musical activities. Here, you can join local residents in creating light installations, lanterns and other creative contributions for the parade. In this way, the Light Parade becomes a communal neighbourhood event full of light, music and socialising.
