EXPO: Graduation Show

For the Graduation Show, Corrosia is giving the floor to the residents of Almere. Together with Almere residents, we visited various Dutch art academies, searching for exceptional work by a new generation of artists.

The focus was not on a curator, but on the public’s perspective. Almere residents themselves selected the works that moved them, surprised them or piqued their curiosity. Which artists left a lasting impression? Which works made an impact? And which art did they find so special that it simply had to be shown to the rest of Almere?

These personal choices have given rise to a multifaceted exhibition at Corrosia. The selected works span various disciplines and showcase a wide range of perspectives.

With the Graduation Show, Corrosia does more than simply provide a platform for young talent. The exhibition also explores the role of the public in the art world. What happens when a city’s residents help to determine what is on display in that city? And what stories, ideas and images emerge when personal preferences form the starting point?

Graduation Show invites you to look with an open mind, discover new artists and ask yourself: which work would you choose to show to the city?

Will we see you at 4.00 pm on 26 September for the opening of the exhibition?
