Kidsproof Kids & Teens Event on 7 June in Almere Buiten Centrum: a FREE children's festival for 2-16 year olds!
On Saturday 7 June 2025, the centre of Almere Buiten will transform into a lively festival ground during the festive Kidsproof Kids & Teens Event. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., children and teenagers from 2 to 16 years old can have a great time during a cheerful festival packed with cool experiments, sports, creativity, dance, theatre, music and Meet & Greet's with 112 Heroes, among others. Entry is absolutely free!
One big party for every family
The Kidsproof Kids & Teens Event will take place at Globeplein, Rio de Janeiroplein and the adjacent park. The activities are largely organised by enthusiastic Almere organisations, clubs and associations. Visitors can pick up a free ticket at the Info stand on Globeplein. The strippenkaart shows which festivities are completely free of charge. For some activities and workshops, a small contribution applies.
Interactive NEMO Science Tour by the NEMO Science Museum
We are proud to add some surprising experiments from the NEMO Science Museum to the festival programme this year. How does a plane stay in the air? And can you shoot off a rocket with a bicycle pump? Discover the answers to these questions (and many more) during the NEMO Science Tour! In 20 minutes full of spectacular experiments, the Amsterdam science museum will show you how fun and surprising science is.
Creative & messy fun
Children can let their imagination run wild during various creative workshops by Stad & Natuur, De Nieuwe Bibliotheek Almere, Jij bent M., Jippie Stippie, InHout and Kliederlab, among others. Face painting, glitter tattoos, henna, colourful hairpieces, nail painting and a hair braiding workshop complete the party. Theatre, dance, music & mysterious heroes
The stage programme at Globeplein is full of (musical) dance and theatre performances for young and older children. Among others, cool performances by Static Entertainment, Rogier the Adventurer, United Dance Almere, the author of the books about 'Anansi the Spider' (Iven Cudogham), Dance Yard Studio, LaLaLoes and the Almere DJ talent Yennie. Visitors can have their picture taken with A-Jay the Tokeh gecko from Dierenpark Almere Jungle and with two mysterious heroes & beautiful misses from Miss Unity Netherlands walking through the centre.
Games, sports, discoveries and Meet & Greet
There will be cool inflatable games and sporting challenges from Krav Maga Almere, WeLiveHealthy, Baseball Softball Club (BSC) Almere and Van Rheenen Almere. Children can move on plush animal friends. And heroes from Regional Ambulance Services (RAV) Flevoland, Ambulance Wish Foundation and the Youth Fire Brigade will give demonstrations and fire prevention tips.
Feasting & shopping
Enjoy biscuits, cupcakes, popcorn, poffertjes, candyfloss and colourful rainbow ice cream. You can also browse at fun stalls with children's books, toys and creative gifts - even shopping for charity (KiKa) is possible by buying a piece of jewellery from Bee Jeweled by Mar.
Cultuurhuis Buiten stage
On the same day, there is another stage with a cosy line-up in the centre of Almere Buiten, namely at Noordeinde. This is also worth a visit. The Cultuurhuis will perform live music all afternoon for all ages, there will be a choir battle, cool street theatre and various workshops. The theme this time is ZOMERKOORTS and also completely free to visit!
Practical
Parking is available all day for just €3 in Almere Buiten centre, but visitors are encouraged to come by bike. It's completely free and nice and sustainable.
