The theme is: nature meets man. Danny depicts this by giving elements from nature human characteristics:
a lobster with a cap or a seagull with an ice cream. The animals and plants he uses can be found in the environment. Besides 'humanising' elements from nature, Danny also portrays visitors to the beach interacting with animals. Everyone can identify with this. In terms of colour scheme, he was inspired by the surroundings of the beach, complemented by soft pastel colours - this way, the cottage blends in with its surroundings."
