Fruit hall Smits
The Smits family has been growing apples since 1968. In 1982, they decided to move to Zeewolde to continue growing apples. Pears have also been grown for over 10 years and strawberries for over 15 years. This fruit farm contains 17 hectares. During tulip season, Fruithal Smits not only grows tulips, but the public can also come and pick tulips themselves.
They also sell a wide range of local produce in the farm shop, such as home-grown apples, pears, strawberries and juices. Furthermore, as many local products as possible are offered in the farm shop, such as potatoes, onions, eggs, dairy, meat, cheese and much more. During tulip season, you can come to Fruithal Smits to pick your own tulips among the fruit trees. Feel free to drop by the farm shop or the tulip picking garden.
