Het Belfort
The het Belfort is home to many cosy cafés and restaurants. This is the place to go for the best coffee or a real Italian meal.
From the stairs, you can easily see the difference between the city centre and the rest of Almere. This is because the city centre is a lot higher than the rest. There is also a work of art here, inspired by the Mayan calendar. It is a column with a city clock and four colourful benches. This is a resting point in the busy city and is meant to give you pause to reflect on yourself and your dreams.
The sun on your skin, good people-watching and enjoying a good glass of wine or a delicious piece of cake together.
