Children’s drawing and painting classes from Tuesday to Saturday (ages 7–14) at LNA

Saturday: 12.30 pm–1.30 pm

Our children’s drawing and painting classes are specially designed to stimulate the creativity of young talents. No previous experience is required.

Each lesson begins by focusing on developing basic pencil drawing skills. Pupils are then introduced to more advanced painting techniques using watercolour, acrylic paint or gouache.

For this age group (7–14 years), each lesson lasts 1 hour. Lessons take place weekly, with 3 to 5 lessons per month, depending on the calendar (excluding public holidays).

Every month, during the second week, we organise a Creative Week. During this week, pupils are introduced to the techniques of a famous artist. They learn new skills, experiment with different styles and create unique works of art inspired by artists from all over the world.

At the end of each term, the pupils complete a small final project to demonstrate what they have learnt. The three pupils with the most striking final projects from each group receive a prize.

In addition, every year in May we organise a pupils’ exhibition to celebrate International Children’s Day.

Important update: Registration & payment

From August 2026, pupils will enrol for three-month terms. This enables us to support consistent creative development. Each term consists of one lesson per week and follows the Dutch school holiday calendar (excluding public holidays).

The monthly course fee is €50 and is paid by direct debit. The monthly fee remains the same, regardless of the number of lessons in a given month.

Cancellation: If you do not wish to continue with the next term after the end of your current term, please send an email before the 7th day of the last month of your current term to cancel your enrolment. This will allow us to process your request in good time and offer the vacated place to a pupil on the waiting list.

Special offer: Is your child already enrolled at LNA and would they like to take a second or third class? If so, you’ll receive a 10% discount per month on each additional class.

Request a taster lesson

Would you like to sign your child up for a taster lesson? If so, please complete the online form at:

We will contact you as soon as possible via the email address you have provided. You will receive a payment link (€12 for the taster lesson) to complete the registration and confirm your child’s place.

Please note: Your child’s place is only confirmed once we have received payment.

As soon as we receive your confirmation by email that your child wishes to continue with our drawing and painting classes, we will send you a personalised direct debit authorisation form to complete the registration.

Is there a place available in your preferred group? If so, your child can start straight away. If the group is full, we’ll put your child on the waiting list and get in touch as soon as a place becomes available.

Is your child interested, but is your financial situation a barrier? If so, we can help you apply for a grant via the Almere Youth Fund for Sport & Culture https://jeugdfondssportencultuur.nl/fondsen/almere/ (if you are eligible), so that your child can still take part in the classes.
