Treat Her Like A Lady had its world premiere at the Rotterdam International Film Festival and humorously criticises a failing social security system. In a film full of bright colours and an atmospheric soundtrack, Nienke Plas plays a strong and charismatic mother reminiscent of the powerful female characters in films by Almodóvar.
