Amélie discovers her ultimate purpose in life: solving other people’s problems. For instance, she helps the caretaker of her block of flats, who spends the whole day drinking port whilst talking to her stuffed dog. But she also helps Georgette, her hypochondriac colleague. And ‘the man of glass’, her neighbour who, confined to his home, lives his life through the Renoir reproductions he paints. Amélie’s mission is unexpectedly disrupted when she meets the eccentric boy Nino Quincampoix. Twenty years on, Amélie will enchant you all over again.
