Focus

This event has been moved from 22 March to 20 September, tickets already purchased will remain valid for the new date.

Focus returns to The Master and does so this time with the new and well-received studio album 'Focus 12' in their pocket, well received by the media and fans. The legendary and influential band has now been responsible for a completely unique form of progressive rock for over half a century. With this, the foursome still successfully tours around the world. Last summer, for instance, Focus did so for a month in the United States in a package with British formation Asia.

Music platform 3voor12 wrote of a recent performance, "Focus leaves a heavily satisfied audience" and "Over fifty years of national prog rock pride came, saw and conquered".

During a more than two-hour concert, Focus will draw richly from the repertoire of mainly the monumental albums 'Moving Waves', 'Focus 3' and 'Hamburger Concerto'. Classics like 'House Of The King' (from the debut 'In And Out Of Focus') and 'Sylvia', the epic 'Eruption' and, of course, 'Hocus Pocus' will not be missing. The latter world hit still attracts attention with regularity. If not by a film ('RoboCop', 'Onward'), then by a commercial (Nike) or because it is played by an international band of note (Foo Fighters, Deep Purple, Marillion).

Music magazine Lust For Life on the new release 'Focus 12': "Veterans Thijs van Leer and the unsurpassed Pierre van der Linden don't show the slightest bit of metal fatigue on Focus 12 ... while bassist Udo Pannekeet and guitarist Menno Gootjes keep the band on course in an exciting mix of progressive rock and jazz fusion."

Line-up:
Thijs van Leer - Hammond organ, flute & vocals
Menno Gootjes - guitar
Udo Pannekeet - bass
Pierre van der Linden - drums
