Sign Language Workshop at BabyCafé

More and more parents are discovering how valuable it is to communicate with their baby using gestures. For young children, it is often easier to make a gesture than to say words. As a result, children can often make themselves understood using gestures even before they learn to talk.

That is why the Library is organising a sign language workshop during the BabyCafé, led by Aranka Woersem from Een Gouden Gebaar.

Sign language is a way of communicating with your baby by using simple signs to express specific needs or wishes, such as drinking, sleeping or more. The workshop lasts about half an hour. Afterwards, the Baby Café continues, with time for free play and socialising.
