Journey through the Ice Age
This summer holiday at Stad & Natuur on De Kemphaan, step into another world - the world of the Ice Age! Discover what Flevoland looked like tens of thousands of years ago, when mammoths, woolly rhinos and steppe wisents roamed here.
In our mini museum, you will get to know this fascinating time. See real bones and teeth, feel how cold it was in our special Ice Age room, and find out which animals and plants lived here then. In the cabinet of curiosities, you can see for yourself what traces the Ice Age people left behind.
Explore on your own - ideal for families with children who want an adventure this summer!
Scavenger hunt There is also a matching scavenger hunt which will take you on a nice walk through the cool forest together.
Summer festival On Thursday 21 August, our annual summer festival will take place! We close the summer holidays with an icy festival with cool activities appropriate to the ice age!....
