For many Indonesian families, the colonial past remains a painful and often unsaid legacy. After Indonesia's independence, thousands were forced to migrate, their stories tucked away, not to be talked about again. Now three young descendants are taking an important step to break that silence. Through meaningful conversations, with both tender and confrontational moments, Between Land and Ship weaves these personal journeys into a larger story of colonialism, migration and intergenerational trauma.
