Animal Day

On 4 October, we will celebrate Animal Day together at Beestenbende petting zoo. Between 12 noon and 4pm, the farm will be all about animals, fun and creativity. There will be lots to do for young and old - come along and join in!

This is what you can expect: Bird food garland making - together with Miranda, string peanuts and homemade fat balls on a string, so that wild birds in the neighbourhood will soon have a feast too. Theatrical Waku Waku Quiz - Chantal will take you through a cheerful quiz show in which 2 to 4 teams compete against each other. Come watch, learn funny facts about the farm and support the animals. The shows start at 1pm and 3pm (duration: about 45 minutes). Sign up in advance to make sure you can participate! Toys for the animals - together with Monique from Kleur in Cultuur you will make fun toys to make the animals on the farm happy. Face painting - have Vera transform you into your favourite animal! 'When I grow up' mailbox - Trisha invites children to share their dreams for later in a special mailbox. Feed and Paw - at Els Wensjes you can hand in pet food that you have left over or that your own pet does not like. This pet food will go well to owners of animals who could use it. You will also learn more about Het Almeers Pootje. Workshop School Gardens - find out how much fun and educational Stad & Natuur's school gardens are. Making animal cake - together we will make a festive cake for the animals at the petting zoo. Entrance to the event is free. For some workshops, we ask for a small contribution in the form of a strip from our strippenkaart.
