A Sad and Beautiful World

Against the backdrop of a troubled Lebanon, Nino and Yasmina have shared a deep but strained love for three decades. As the country oscillates between hope and destruction, Nino clings to the past and Yasmina looks for a way out to a new future. War, distance and personal turning points severely test their relationship and future plans, including whether they want a child. Torn between love and survival, they must decide: stay or leave it all behind. In this uncertainty, humour, resilience and love prove to be their only sustenance.
