Music walk Oostvaardersplassen, Almere

From Natuurbelevingcentrum de Oostvaarders, an IVN nature guide takes us through the Oostvaardersplassen, part of National Park Nieuw Land, with three mini classical concerts along the way. Double the enjoyment!

Programme notes

What could be nicer than walking through the Flevoland countryside under the guidance of an experienced nature guide and being surprised several times along the way by beautiful classical music? That's the music walks of Goede Rede Concerten!

Oostvaardersplassen

A large marsh area with reed beds, rough grasslands, water lakes, surrounded by forests: a true bird paradise of international value. Those are the Oostvaardersplassen, part of National Park Nieuw Land.

Over 50 years ago, nature created this vast marshland in southern Flevoland. Geese, spoonbills and cormorants soon knew how to find Oostvaardersplassen, as did deer, foxes, hares, bats and butterflies. And since 2006, even the white-tailed eagle has been breeding there.

Discover this marshland rich in birds and experience how each season has its own dynamics and surprising developments.

Together with an experienced IVN nature guide, we walk through the Oostvaardersplassen. The guide knows all about the forest, its flora and fauna. Along the way, we are treated to several mini-concerts of classical music. Who is playing? That's still a surprise...
