Cinekid Presents Classics: Abeltje

After countless warnings and arguments with the headmaster, 11-year-old Abeltje Roef is taken out of school by his mother. She manages to get him a job as a lift boy at the large and posh Knots department store. But on his very first day at work, things go completely wrong. Abeltje presses the one button he’s not allowed to press: the green button! Together with Mr Tump, Miss Klaterhoen and Laura, he flies in the lift right through the roof of the department store. Then he finally regains control of the lift. They fly off and land in New York, and subsequently find themselves caught up in a full-blown revolution in the tropical country of Perugona. Abeltje has an exciting, comical and at times touching adventure.
