After a successful series of performances in Osnabrück's sold-out Stadstheater, internationally acclaimed choreographer Dunja Jocić is coming to the Netherlands with her latest dance production Afternoon of a Nymph. And that is special, because she is rarely seen in our country.
This visual and powerful performance focuses on the question: how do we look at each other, and how does that define who we are? Jocić draws inspiration from Nijinsky's famous 1912 ballet, in which a faun dreams of a nymph. But instead of the faun - the original main character - Jocić now puts the nymph at the centre. She gives her a voice, a body and a story of her own.

Afternoon of a Nymph is an intense dance experience in which dance, music and images come together. With seven top dancers and an original music composition by Jonathan Bonny - who mixes classical music with pop and electronica - a performance is created that touches and makes you think.
