Experience Ice Age during the Summer Festival at Kemphaan!

On Thursday 21 August, from 12:00 to 16:00, Stadslandgoed de Kemphaan will transform into an adventurous Ice Age landscape during our annual Summer Festival. Discover, experience and learn with exciting workshops, creative activities and special performances for the whole family!

Activity programme:

Fire-making and modelling with polder clay: learn how our distant ancestors made fire and made eating utensils

Fossil making with Kleur in Cultuur: create your own special fossils with sand clay, twigs, stones and wool thread

Icy adventures with Mad Science (12.00-13.00, 13.15-14.15 and 14.30-15.30): discover the surprising science behind ice.

Carpenter your own Ice Age beast with Kickzy!

Performance 'Under the waves' by Belletje Sterk (12.30, 13.45 and 15.00): a magical puppet theatre show that takes you to Doggerland.

Ice Age exhibition: take a time trip and discover more about life in the Ice Age.

Family treasure hunt: go on an exploration and experience exciting adventures around the Ice Age theme.

Admission and costs: Entrance to the festival is free. For some workshops, we ask for a small contribution. Payment is easy with our strip card (available for €7.50 for 4 strips or €2.50 per single strip).
