On a desert island, no one walks in front of you and you can be completely yourself. No awkward interactions or insecurity about how you come across to someone else. Amsterdam-based dance collective MAN || CO brings an ode to the shy, enthusiastic, impulsive and tactical inner explorers. Energetic, theatrical and full of humour, three dancers take you on a voyage of discovery through a colourful landscape, to all versions of yourself. With expressive characters, a touch absurd and always recognisable. The performance was winner of the Young Swan 2024 for the most impressive youth dance production. "The wonderfully attuned performers switch from hilarious cartoon humour, via precisely timed movement theatre to dance impulses bubbling up deep from the body," wrote the jury.
