What happens when the loudest voice you hear is inside your own head? 'Loud Whispers' is a probing dance performance about the inner monologue that makes or breaks us, drives us forward, but also makes us doubt. Sometimes it is a whisper, sometimes an overwhelming voice, fuelled by fear, expectations, desires and the tension between who we are and who we think we must be.

Choreographer Denden Karadeniz and Zero Dance Theatre translate this struggle into a powerful mix of hip-hop and contemporary dance. Like the choreography, the live music is an amalgamation of worlds: the Dareyn Ensemble, led by Emine Bostanci, weaves Eastern and Western sounds into a layered soundscape that reflects the complexity of our inner voices. 'Loud Whispers' does not offer an answer, but is an invitation to reflect on the voices that shape us.
