Picture book 'Aimy and Abel and time travel by Almere'

To mark Almere’s 50th anniversary, Buddy Books has a special gift for the city: a beautifully illustrated picture book, created especially for all primary school children in Almere. The book has been distributed free of charge, with 23,000 copies printed!

In an adventurous and accessible way, the picture book tells the story of Almere. From the bottom of the IJsselmeer to the city of today. From pioneers with big dreams to a future full of possibilities. Children discover how their city came into being, grew and continues to change.

A book to leaf through, dream about and become proud of. Because celebrating Almere is something we do together - also with the youngest generation.

The book was created by Liesbeth Rood, Christel Driessen, Michel de Boer and Leontine Gaasenbeek.
